Hygiene and disease prevention are very important in our breeding. We clean the aviary twice a year, including disinfection. We give to falcons preparations against parasites, protozoa and coccidia once a year.
All bred falcons have permanent access to fresh water. The out-of-season food consists of day-old chicks, carefully sorted and viewed and frozen Japanese quails. The falcons are fed mostly freshly slaughtered quail to support chupping, supplemented by day-old chicks in the breeding season, beginning in the middle of January. Hatched falcons are fed only by fresh slaughtered quails, supplemented by frozen quail from hatching up to 75 days of age.
